Freedom Housing Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation that provides accommodation to individuals for the purpose of rehabilitation. Occupants are enrolled in the Rehabilitative Services Program whereby services and resources supporting their path to recovery are provided. Accommodation is restricted to Occupants enrolled in the Rehabilitative Services Program. Transitional Housing is intended to be short term housing exclusively for individuals who are willing and able to engage in the Rehabilitative Services Program, with the goal of supporting the Occupant in subsequently obtaining and maintaining more permanent living accommodation.
The Mental Health Outreach Program is a holistic program based on the belief that individuals must embrace change in many areas of their lives in order to experience positive outcomes, and that single interventions in isolation are not as likely to be effective. The key goals of the program look to reduce mental health symptoms, increase housing stability, heighten independence, greater life satisfaction, improve employment and educational outcomes and enhance social and family relationships.
The Organization offers the Mental Health Outreach Program as an additional service for occupants and other eligible members of the public. The Mental Health Outreach Program is only available to individuals who satisfy specific inclusion criteria; who are looking to live a safer, healthier and more simplified life and who share the Organization’s belief and commitment to holistic change.
